Outstanding Care for Puppies & Dogs
Justin Animal Hospital’s veterinarians look forward to establishing a regular routine of care with your new puppy or dog. We know how special your companion is to you, and we are excited to help you take care of your canine buddy for many years to come. We will work with you to tailor a wellness plan just for your dog’s needs, including regular examinations and vaccinations.
Vaccinating Your Dog Is Important
Vaccinations help to keep your pet and your family safe from disease. Strains of some of the diseases we vaccinate for can infect dogs, cats, and humans as well. For example, leptospirosis can be silently infecting your dog, showing no symptoms of the disease, but can be contagious to you and your family.
Our recommended vaccination and testing schedule includes:
6 – 8 weeks
- DHPPC (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus, and coronavirus fecal flotation)
9 – 11 weeks
- DHL4PPC (DHPPC + leptospirosis 4 way)
- Bordetella #1 (kennel cough)
12 – 14 2 weeks
- Bordetella #2
Adult Canine Yearly Schedule
- Fecal flotation
- Heartworm, Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, and anaplasmosis combo test
